Celestino Cassone was the initial member of the Cassone family to emigrate to Argentina, arriving during the mid 19th century from Piamonte, a fertile area of vineyards and wheat plantations in northwestern Italy. Today the Cassone family is the owner of the 90-year-old vineyards as well as the winery. Eduardo Cassone, together with his sons Eduardo José, Martin, and Federico carry on the passion and traditions taught to Eduardo by his father Roberto Cassone, who started the winery in Mendoza during the 1950’s in the small wine district of Junin. |
