The Winery of the Cassone Family

is located in Mayor Drummond, Luján de Cuyo, in the Southwest of Mendoza, surrounded by the Andes range with its majestic Aconcagua Mountain.

The wine project is being carried on by Eduardo Cassone, together with his sons Eduardo José, Martin and Federico; heirs of the entrepreneur spirit of Roberto Cassone who started this wine venture in Mendoza during the 50´s in the small wine district of Junin. He transmitted his passion for wine to his son Eduardo.

The Cassone Family arrived in Argentina during the 19th century through Celestino Cassone who came from the Piamonte Region of Italy, a fertile region of wine and wheat plantations. Today the Cassone family is the owner of the 90 year old vineyards as well as the winery..

It was in 1998 that Eduardo together with his wife Florencia Ferreira Funes, and their sons reinitiated the wine venture by building a small winery, that would keep the purity of the art of wine-making and production, by using the grapes grown in the old growth family  vineyards.

Winery T he Winery was built in the traditional style of Mendoza, with high walls and wood ceilings, providing a fresh, harmonic and natural environment needed for wine making.stainless steel tanks

At the same time the use, customs and artesian production were maintained by incorporating modern machinery and equipment such as stainless steel tanks , a modern refrigeration system, and French and American oak barrels.

After hand selection of the best grapes of the vineyards, they were maintained in small crates, Federico, Martin and Eduardo José personally perform the task of working with the wine during fermentation, lactation, and bottling.

The philosophy of the Winery of the Cassone Family is to produce wines of the highest quality, a modern style, with very well defined diverse characteristics, along with the freshness of the fruit, framed by the respect for the environment and of the quality of soil.
